Stott, John.  Evangelical Truth: A Personal Plea for Unity, Integrity, and Faithfulness,  Inter- Varsity Press, 2005 (This book can be read anytime during the course and will provide the “big picture” context for the topics discussed)

Wells, David F.  The Courage to Be Protestant: Truth Lovers, Marketers, and Emergents in thePostmodern World, Wm. B. Eerdmans Publishing Co., 2008 (This book is optional, though recommended, and will provide food for thought regarding the application of theology to current church trends)
